A Few Words from our Managing Director
Dear Vose Software Customer
2012 was a year of fantastic development and growth at Vose Software, and I’d like to thank you for your contribution to that success. ModelRisk is already packed with many more tools and capabilities than any other competing product, but we thought that there were still some very useful features we could add. So, in 2012, we added 19 new distributions, 144 new functions, a completely new version of our free results viewer and even a new tool for those doing pharmaceutical modeling.
But the main focus for 2012 was to enhance the user’s experience of using our software and doing business with us. We set up a US office to be able to handle North American clients more effectively. We also expanded our network of resellers to include representation in China, South Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan and a complete coverage of Latin America.
We streamlined the installation process for ModelRisk because of the confusion that arose from multiple Excel/Windows combinations. We are also now able to install ModelRisk in virtual machines environments. Behind the scenes, we introduced an automated testing process that now allows us to produce new releases more rapidly and with a much lower error rate.
We also put a lot of effort into helping people understand the ideas and techniques of risk modeling by producing nearly a dozen free training videos that I encourage you to look at. We offer World class risk analysis auditing, consulting and in-house training, but in the current economy of cutbacks and layoffs these services are out of reach for many companies – unfortunately the companies that are most in need of managing their risk. So we responded by producing some really great training packages, combining videos and example models at very modest prices, as well as offering tailored online training courses which have proven very popular.
Looking ahead, we have a lot of exciting new projects. We have an agreement to incorporate ModelRisk technology into one of the leading enterprise risk management software applications. There are a few new tools that we will be adding to ModelRisk in the next year, but our primary commitment for our developers in 2013 is to find ways to make ModelRisk as easy to use as possible. For that, we rely on you telling us about your suggestions and frustrations, and I thank you for the feedback you give us. Hearing from customers is the most important way for us to know how to make our products and services even better. If you have any additional suggestions, please provide them directly to me.
