New Academic Promotion

Vose Software is delighted to announce the second academic pricing promotion running from 1 April until 31 May 2010 that slashes prices for academic licenses even further. More details on licensing and pricing are available at our academic section.

ModelRisk 3.0 is ideally suited as a platform to teach and learn risk analysis, probability modeling and optimization:

  • It is an add-in to Excel, minimizing the need to learn a new modeling environment;
  • It incorporates an extensive range of built-in modeling tools with applications in a wide range of fields;
  • It features over 40 different visual interfaces to help the user gain an intuitive feel for the techniques being used;
  • It is supported by an extensive help file covering over 1000 topics in risk analysis, together with over 200 example models. An online version of the help file can be viewed here. Professors are welcome to draw material from the text and examples in the help file to develop their own courses
  • Student, professor and lab licenses are available at very favorable rates
  • Academic licenses have no restrictions or watermarks

ModelRisk 30-day Free Trial version can be downloaded from here.

If you currently use another spreadsheet-based risk analysis software product, this comparison may be of interest. All reasonable attempts have been made to ensure that the comparison between ModelRisk and competing products described in this document are factually based, fair and accurate.

Onsite Training
Vose Software can organize in-house courses on using ModelRisk for specific risk analysis related topics customized to your requirement and at locations of your choice. We can provide in-house training either in the form of a series of workshops or lectures. You can choose off-the-shelf modules from general courses or have the material tailored specifically to the types of problems you often face.

Web-hosted training
ModelRisk certified trainer William McKibbin provides online training in ModelRisk through course modules. Course modules are listed here and can be delivered sequentially or individually. Each module is a 3-hour block of instruction that builds expertise in the major components of quantitative risk analysis. The training is application focused on Excel, ModelRisk, and other tools. Completion of all six modules delivers to the learner a coherent and comprehensive program in quantitative risk analysis and spreadsheet modeling. Please visit the web-hosted training page for more information and subscription.

New Video Tutorials Online

We've asked our boss, David Vose, to make an instructional video for our YouTube Channel. Check out how he did here.

Description
This model demonstrates the power of using ModelRisk's unique 'object' capability, in combination with extreme value functions. In just seven cells the model reproduces what would take many thousands of cells in other risk analysis tools, and runs proportionally faster too.

Come and meet us

In an effort to get to understand the needs of our clients current and prospective, we have started to offer informal receptions where we chat about risk analysis, meet fellow risk professionals and enjoy a drink without any sales pitches or speeches.
If you are interested in meeting us and other risk professionals, send an email to reception@vosesoftware.com so we can put your city in our calendar.
