The cumulative frequency plot has two forms: ascending and descending:

Cumulative plots of simulation data can be produced in ModelRisk by selecting the variable(s) in the Simulation Results window and clicking:
or ![]()
The ascending cumulative frequency plot is the most commonly used of the two and shows the probability of being less than or equal to the horizontal-axis value. The descending cumulative frequency plot, on the other hand, shows the probability of being greater than or equal to the horizontal-axis value.
The cumulative frequency plot is very useful for reading off the probability
of exceeding any value; for example, the probability of going over budget,
failing to meet a deadline or of achieving a positive NPV (net present
value).
